Many people don't know that a big reason foundation and concealer slide on the skin overtime is because of the type of primer or skincare used.

If you don't use primer or do a skin prep routine, foundation can be hard to spread on the skin and become patchy.

If you use an oil based primer with a water based foundation or vice versa, the foundation is more likely to separate and slip throughout the day.

The best routine is to apply a gentle cleanser, a pea sized amount of eyecream, and moisturizer and let it soak into the skin. Then, before applying foundation, make sure to use a primer that has the same base as said foundation. When you're all finished, lock in your makeup with a setting spray. My favorite is the mac fix it spray.
